Be seen. Be heard. Wear yellow.
Each year, The Coalition’s Advocacy Day brings together residents, community leaders, and housing and economic development champions to advocate for a stronger, more equitable DC. On Tuesday, June 17, we’re showing up, rising together, to demand bold investments in affordable housing, small business support, and workforce development efforts that help our communities not just stay, but flourish.
From long-time policy experts and practitioners to first-time advocates — everyone has a role to play. All are welcome and encouraged to participate, but registration is required.
Get fueled for the day with a light breakfast, coffee, and tea. Pick up your iconic yellow Advocacy Day shirt featuring this year’s call to action:
Rising Together, Thriving Together
Expanding housing, jobs, and opportunities within the District
We’ll walk through our top budget priorities—funding for affordable housing, community development, workforce support, and small business investment—so everyone is ready to speak with confidence.

The shirts. The stories. The solidarity. Advocacy Day is a tradition rooted in collective action, bold voices, and bright yellow shirts that say it all:
Rising Together, Thriving Together.
It’s about more than a day of meetings—it’s about community power in action. Advocacy Day is a space for residents, practitioners, policy experts, philanthropy, and other allies to all stand united around a shared vision of a DC where everyone can afford to live, work, and grow. When the people most impacted by housing instability and economic volatility speak up, policies get smarter—and our city gets stronger.
