Keep the Faith: Why Our Work in Community Economic Development Matters More Than Ever

In times like these—when the path forward feels uncertain, when resources are scarce when rhetoric overshadows results—we must be the torchbearers. More than anything, we must keep the faith.

The White House has issued an Executive Order, effective at 5 PM today, January 28, 2025, directing all federal agencies to temporarily pause activities related to the obligation or disbursement of federal financial assistance. Here’s what we know.

We are excited to share an important update regarding the evolution of our organization. After careful consideration and consultation, we have made the decision to rebrand our name from The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) to simply The Coalition.
