We are excited to share an important update regarding the evolution of our organization. After careful consideration and consultation, we have made the decision to rebrand our name from The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) to simply The Coalition.
This change reflects the continued growth and broadening scope of our work. As we expand our focus on driving economic mobility through the lanes of housing, small business support, workforce development, and beyond, our new name emphasizes our unified mission and the collective strength of our diverse partners and stakeholders.
Why This Change?
Over the past few years, our organization has evolved, deepened its impact, and broadened its work to support a wide range of community development initiatives. “The Coalition” more effectively captures our approach to collaboration, collective action, and cross-sector partnerships that transcend traditional boundaries. This streamlined name also makes it easier for us to communicate with and engage the communities, organizations, policymakers policymakers, and funders.
What Does This Mean for Our Work?
While our name may be changing, our core mission remains the same: advance community economic development solutions that address the inequity of underresourced communities in the District of Columbia. This rebranding will not affect our operations, programs, or services; it simply provides us with a fresh, unified identity that better aligns with the scope of our work.
We are confident that this new name will help position us for future success and better resonate with our stakeholders. We are excited to continue our important work under our new identity!
