On Monday, The Coalition, alongside Mayor Muriel Bowser, celebrated a major milestone: more than $1.5B in spending with DC-based businesses by institutions participating in the DC Community Anchor Partnership since 2017, including nearly $1 billion with local minority-owned businesses.

When The Coalition began forming its DC Community Anchor Partnership (DCAP) in 2017, Children’s National Hospital’s government affairs team quickly recognized the alignment with their internal values. They introduced the initiative to supply chain leadership, and Ashley E. Wilson, MHSA, Executive Director of Supply Chain Services, has been engaged ever since.
