Washington, D.C. – The Small Business Policy Project held its Fall Convening on November 19 to discuss the progress made so far on implementing the Project’s recommendations for improving the environment for small and micro businesses in DC.
The event brought together more than 100 people – representing small business owners, technical assistance providers, business association leaders, chambers of commerce, government agencies, DC Council, advocacy organizations and more – to network and hear highlights from the Progress Report over the first six months of implementation.
Councilmembers in attendance were highly supportive of the progress made:
“You have an ally in government to help you implement your recommendations.” Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie
“I was blown away by the insights offered to enhance small business development by the DC Small Business Policy Project.” Councilmember David Grosso
And participants created quite the Twitter storm, which was captured on Storify. See more photos from the event on flickr.
